In April 2026, the business asked us to design and install RGB LED lighting for her office arcade at the Galaxis building in one-north. She had a clear picture of the vibe she wanted, a brighter, more eye-catching space, but was not sure how to get there technically. As a licensed electrical contractor, we took it from concept to completion, turning her reference images into a practical lighting scheme that worked.
The Challenge
the business had the general idea of RGB LED lights in the arcade, but a few key things were still up in the air:
The reference images she shared got the look and feel across, but did not give us the technical detail to build from directly. That uncertainty had held the project up since the planning stage, since she needed expert input before going ahead.
- Working out the right length of LED strip to cover the architectural features.
- Settling on the best mounting method for a clean, professional finish.
- Making sure the power supply could take the extra load without overloading what was already there.
- Turning the look she wanted into specs that would actually work.
Solution
We started with a proper consultation to understand what she was after, then recommended suitable RGB LED strip types, where to run them along the architectural features, and the supporting parts needed. A site visit let us confirm real measurements and catch any constraints early.
The install involved:
We coordinated the work to keep disruption to her day-to-day low. The programmable system lets her change colours to suit different moods, events, or branding.
- Around 21 metres of RGB LED strip lighting installed.
- LED drivers sized to handle the power safely.
- Aluminium profiles for proper heat dissipation, durability, and a clean finish.
- Wiring routed and concealed for a tidy look.
Key Results and Outcomes
The finished install turned the arcade from a plain, functional space into a modern, eye-catching one that reflects the brand.
Key results:
- Around 21 metres of RGB LED lighting installed, with full programmable colour control.
- Better energy efficiency than conventional lighting, with lower power draw and less heat.
- A space that feels more modern and inviting for staff and visitors.
- Flexible colour options that adjust for different occasions or branding needs.
Conclusion
This project shows how we bridge the gap between a client's idea and the technical work to make it real. From the advice through to the install, we handled every detail: strip selection, driver sizing, aluminium framing, and hidden wiring. The result is a cohesive, adaptable lighting system that looks good and works well for the Galaxis arcade.
